PKRM College, Dhanbad
PKRM College is one of the oldest degree college in Dhanbad. College was founded in 1948 and grew from its infancy and now imparting post graduate education as well. PKRM College is a constituent college under Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and recognized by University Grants Commission. College provides intermediate, graduation and post graduate degree level education in arts, science and commerce subjects. The college is for boys and is situated in the heart of Dhanbad city.

SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya is women's college situated in the heart of city. SSLNT is a constituent college under Vinoba Bhave University and recognized by UGC in India. It has equipped classrooms, labs, gym, hostel, auditorium, computer center and facilities for sports and games. One of the oldest women's college in Dhanbad, it is known for its track record of imparting quality education is state of Jharkhand at UG, Graduate and PG levels. Law College Dhanbad
The Law College Dhanbad was established in the year 1976. The College is affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag and recognised by Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It conducts three year LL.B. Course since inception. The college is situated in the heart of city. The college is equipped with experienced faculty and senior members of the Bar for teaching. The medium is generally english but students can opt examination in English and Hindi.
